Mark Hunter was bang on once again with his tips at Mornington last Saturday.

\r\n\r\n

He tipped two good winners, steering punters who followed his staking plan into a thumping 95% POT.

\r\n\r\n

It was so close to being an even better day out for the popular Melbournian.

\r\n\r\n

That's because all of his other selections found a place, demonstrating that he's clearly seeing them well at the moment.

\r\n\r\n

There's nothing like a having an in-form Melbourne track specialist in your back pocket at this time of the year.

\r\n\r\n

If you'd like to get a hold of Hunter's Saturday premium racing package for Flemington, including his exlusive staking plan, you can purchase it here.

\r\n\r\n

Or, for a recap of his results last week, read on.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Mark Hunter's horse racing tips review at Mornington 28th September 2019

\r\n\r\n

Race 1: #4 Vellaspride (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

This was the definition of an unlucky start to the day.

\r\n\r\n

Vellaspride looked for all money like he was going to get the win.

\r\n\r\n

But Shepard never gave up, and the result came down to a photo finish.

\r\n\r\n

Shepard just put his head down at the right time to get the chocolates.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 2: #4 Shotgun Rosie (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

Another close placing here, with Shotgun Rosie finishing just half a length behind the odds-on winner in third place.

\r\n\r\n

Considering she was paying even money for the place, some punters would've got their money back.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 3: #8 So You Swing (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

The bad luck came to an end in Race 3, to the joy of all of Hunter's followers.

\r\n\r\n

This Ellerton and Zahra-trained mare proved herself to be the class animal on the day.

\r\n\r\n

She kicked away to win comfortably, and at the good odds of $5.30.

\r\n\r\n

Hunter's followers were in the black.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 5: #2 Too Good Too Hard (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

The profits increased in Race 5 when Too Good Too Hard was too quick as well.

\r\n\r\n

Over the six furlongs, this mare was just too fast for them.

\r\n\r\n

The market got it spot on, as she started as the $2.50 favourite.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 7: #9 Creedence (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

Hunter's last selection was on a nice piece of value.

\r\n\r\n

Creedence was paying $9 for the win and $2.30 for the place, so we're hoping that a few of you bet each-way.

\r\n\r\n

That's because he ran a solid race to finish 3rd.

Each way punters would have been happy with David Gately's efforts last week.

\r\n\r\n

That's because he picked up a suite of placings across both tracks, and came within a whisker of finishing the day with a monster profit.

\r\n\r\n

It wasn't to be for Gator though unfortunately, however his recent form still ranks him amongst the best tipsters in the country. If you had followed his staking plan over the past seven Saturdays, you would have averaged 16% profit on turnover.

\r\n\r\n

His best track last Saturday was at Rosehill, where he found got punters out of gaol late in the day.

David Gately's horse racing tips review at Rosheill 28th August 2019

\r\n\r\n

Race 1: #9 Humbolt Current (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

Followers of this horse must have lost patience when he placed once again last Saturday.

\r\n\r\n

While he's always around the money, he just doesn't quite have that winning turn of foot.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 2: #5 Harbouring (Low)

\r\n\r\n

Another 3rd place for Gator here.

\r\n\r\n

Harbouring ran a solid race to pay $2 for the place.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 3: #6 Pandemic (High)

\r\n\r\n

After finishing closely behind some good horses in Funstar and Yao Dash, Gator was confident this Godolphin runner would get it done.

\r\n\r\n

But it was more of the same with another 3rd-placed finish.

\r\n\r\n

Standout continued his impressive form to get the win.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 4: #3 Gem Song (High) - Best Bet

\r\n\r\n

Gator's best bet for the day was on Gem Song in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes.

\r\n\r\n

This classy runner looked set to claim the win inside the final furlong.

\r\n\r\n

That was until Mister Sea Wolf came with an inside run to produce a mini-boilover.

\r\n\r\n

Gem Song came 2nd.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 5: #5 Enticing Star (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

This favourite just got too far back in the run and couldn't make up the ground.

\r\n\r\n

She was the first of Gately's tips to miss a placing.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 6: #8 Scarlet Dream (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

(Scratched)

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 7: #5 Exceedance (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

In the talent-rich Golden Rose, Gator went with Exceedance.

\r\n\r\n

While he ran a good race, he wasn't a match for Bivouac.

\r\n\r\n

Exceedance finished 3rd.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 8: #2 Shadow Hero (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

Gator left it late but he finally got the ball rolling when Shadow Hero put them to the sword in the penultimate race on the card.

\r\n\r\n

Shadow Hero was given the perfect ride by Joshua Par, who snagged him back along the rail, before weaving him through the field and giving him the room to let down with a big run.

\r\n\r\n

This talented gelding won by a big margin, and paid a handy $3.10 on the tote.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Race 9: #4 Ranier (Medium)

\r\n\r\n

In the "Get Out Stakes," Gator got his followers out of a spot of bother.

\r\n\r\n

That's because his best value bet of the day saluted.

\r\n\r\n

James McDonald timed his run to perfection, as this Godolphin runner speared through for the win.

\r\n\r\n

He paid a juicy $7.

How the track sets-up

\n\n

Flemington is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 9m the entire circuit.

\n\n

These conditions should see the track play fair, allowing all runners their chance.

\n\n

\n\n

Mark has generated 14% profit on turnover from 51 tips over the past 90-days. Below are three of his top selections for Flemington.

\n\n

Never miss Mark's selections again! Get free tip alerts here so you're always in the know.

\n\n

\n\n

Flemington Race 4 Blazer Stakes 1400m (Group 2)

\n\n

Plenty of speed here from the likes of Spanish Whisper (9), Haut Brion Her (2) and Dawn Dawn (1).

\n\n

Fidelia was held up for a run after taking an inside lane last start behind Spanish Whisper and was a certainty beaten.

\n\n

From barrier 8, she should be no worse than mid-field with cover. Look for jockey Jye McNeil to give her a peach of a ride and come down the outside, where she'll be able to use her exceptional turn of foot to get back into the winner’s circle.

\n\n

Spanish Whisper has two starts for two wins over this trip at Flemington and is the one to beat again.

\n\n

She has not drawn ideally in barrier 9, but I expect Mark Zahra to put her in a forward position just behind the leaders and she should get the run of the race. My second pick.

\n\n

My Pendant (5) is another runner from the race that Spanish Whisper won, back here on September 14th.

\n\n

On that occasion, she was too far back but rattled home to finish in fifth place, only 1.3 lengths away from the winner. Clear third pick.

\n\n

\"Horse  Mark's Race 4 Tips

\n\n

1st Fidelia

\n\n

2nd Spanish Whisper

\n\n

3rd My Pendant

\n\n

\n\n

Flemington Race 7 Turnbull Stakes 2000m (Group 1)

\n\n

Trap for Fools will set a cracking speed here, with Kentucky Breeze also going with him.

\n\n

Mystic Journey (9) and Rostropovich will both sit just behind the leaders.

\n\n

Mr Quickie runs remarkable sectionals and what he did here last start behind Gatting and Mystic Journey was nothing short of extraordinary.

\n\n

From barrier 11, look for him to settle at the rear of the field and watch it all unfold in front of him. Once he hits the 400m mark, expect experienced jockey John Allen to peel off to the outside and make a sustained run to pick them all off one-by-one.

\n\n

After seven straight wins, Mystic Journey was in the unusual position of running second when beaten by the long shot Gatting in the Makybe Diva Stakes.

\n\n

The mare aims to bounce back here and the only query is how she'll handle the step up to 2000m for the first time. She's finished all of her races over a mile with vigour, so there's no reason to suggest she won't relish the extra 400m. My second pick.

\n\n

Finche won well in a Group 3 race in Sydney recently and is being geared towards the Melbourne Cup.

\n\n

From barrier 2, I expect this gelding to take a forward position and follow the path taken when finishing fourth in last year’s Melbourne Cup. Look for him to give this race an almighty shake.

\n\n

\n\n

Flemington Race 8 Bart Cummings 2520m (Group 3)

\n\n

Wolfe (1) will lead with Alfarris (13) pushing forward to travel with him.

\n\n

Dal Haraild (5) and Ventura Storm (2) will sit just behind the leaders.

\n\n

Surprise Baby is sharply up in distance but that won’t worry her as she is suited to the trip. Connections are determined to get an automatic entry into the Melbourne Cup, so they'll have her in great order for this.

\n\n

From barrier 6, she should get a nice sit and just let the leaders do all the work. Look for her to peel out in the straight and win this well.

\n\n

Te Akau Caliburn raced for the first time in Australia last start, running a cracking fifth place behind Alfarris.

\n\n

These races are a rise in class compared to what he's faced overseas. However, he will be coming home at a rate of knots and runs some very fast sectionals.

\n\n

Could be the surprise packet here and is my second pick.

\n\n

King Of Leogrance was another runner from the race that Alfarris won at Flemington.

\n\n

From barrier 9, I expect Damien Oliver to put this gelding mid-field with cover and when the whips are cracking, he will be storming home. A clear third pick.
